Romanticism isn't exactly what it sounds like. On one hand, in its traditional sense, it is the state or act of being romantic. On the other hand, the less known definition, celebrates the unconventional, the neurotic, and the imaginary.
I wanted this issue of Fishnet Magazine to be a healthy balance of those two definitions. Exploring the romantic in all its forms, on a scale ranging from positive to negative. Furthering this point, I wanted to emphasize a realistic portrayal of love and romance.
Romance beyond just the realm of two people connecting, love that is felt by all life forms. Celebrating the natural and the authentic, the imaginary and the absurd.
