I think I tend to romanticize suburbia a bit. Maybe it's a longing for my high school days, or rather, an opportunity to redo them. To hold onto those "firsts" a little bit longer, to bask in the comfort of teenage freedom a little bit more. I chose the theme "suburbia" because I love to romanticize the mundane. The small things. The rusty sign outside the convenience store. The bright pink bottle of hand soap in the girl's bathroom. In my opinion, these little things make up what the essence of life truly is: simple joy that can be found for free, as long as you look close enough.
